Bonnie Ryan-Arrante, CPA

Chairperson, Treasurer

Bonnie is a long supporter of Bethany House, and an active member of the Rockville Centre community. She has built her career in accounting and finance, having started as a CPA with Deloitte focused on startups, and spending over 12 years with Silicon Valley Bank as a Director of their New York based venture lending practice. Most recently, Bonnie has spent time as a consultant for venture backed and growth companies leveraging her experience in banking, entrepreneurship, accounting and corporate relationship management. In addition to Bethany House, Bonnie sits on the Board of the Capital Foundation of New York, an affiliate of Upstate Capital with a focus on increasing education and access to capital for companies and entrepreneurs across the region. Bonnie is also an Executive Committee Member of the Technology and Entrepreneurship Council of Boston College increase access to capital for companies and entrepreneurs.Bonnie currently also sits on the East Coast Council of the Boston College Technology & Entrepreneurship Council, supporting the endeavor to make BC a leader in technology and provide networking, education and social opportunities for BC alumni in technology-related fields.

Ellen Furuya

Interim Vice Chairperson, Board Secretary

Ellen Furyua retired from PepsiCo in 2015 where she was Senior Director of Global Strategy and Insights. After retirement, she worked part-time at Hofstra University’s Center for STEM Research for four years, as a way to give back and learn about grants and grant management. She enjoyed bringing after school STEM to students, and was broadly exploring what direction she wanted to go next, when she was invited to join the board. Ellen has established, and currently serves as Chairperson, of the Bethany House Quality Improvement Committee.

Martin Baicker

Martin “Marty” Baicker joined Bethany House in 2023, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in managing non-profit organizations. In his current position as COO of Children’s Aid, he oversees projects from administrative and reporting procedures, to construction. Prior to joining Children’s Aid, Marty worked primarily in the healthcare sector, serving as Chief Administrator, COO, and Vice President for New York metropolitan area hospitals. A native of North Merrick, New York, Marty holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Empire State College and a master’s from New York University. He has served on the board of several nonprofits, and has donated his time and effort to promoting literacy across the country.

Alex Lipton

Alex Lipton currently serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Unite Us, a technology company that makes it easier for government agencies, healthcare organizations, and community-based organizations to connect people to health and social care services in their communities. In his role, Alex advocates for policies that advance public health infrastructure and expand access to health and social care services. Prior to joining Unite Us, Alex worked as an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York and as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco.

Angela M. Zimmerman

Angela is the Director of Development and Special Programs at Molloy University, overseeing the development, corporate and alumni relations and the scholarship functions of the college. In addition, Angela coordinates Family Support Long Island @ Molloy University. Prior to coming to Molloy University, Ms. Zimmerman had a long tenure in nonprofit management, and had worked at the Nassau County Youth Board for close to 30 years. She has received numerous awards for her work with children, youth and families. Angela fervently believes that a society’s investment in children, families and communities clearly communicates and projects something about ourselves, our values and our priorities into the future. Angela has been a long-time supporter of Bethany House.

Christine Vetrano

Christine is currently the CFO of Organic Krush which has been an active supporter of Bethany House. Christine is a dynamic financial and management executive with strong experience in strategic planning and change management. She is a mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and the EAC Chance to Advance program. Christine currently serves as the Co-Chairperson of the Bethany House Finance and Audit, and Corporate Compliance Committees.

Gloria Grande Romanowski

Gloria has been a force in the real estate industry for 18 years, spending the last seven years at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. She has achieved an esteemed position as a member of the Gold Circle and the President's Dinner. A second-generation Long Islander, she has strong ties to the Rockville Centre community, having raised her children there, and values the town’s location, which is close to both the ocean and Manhattan. Gloria’s dedication to her profession is matched by her commitment to her community as a Facilities Committee member of Bethany House, a Board Member of the Phillips House Museum, and a member in good standing for LIBOR and NAR.

Janet DeLuca

Janet is an accomplished attorney with 30 years of experience in litigation, contract drafting, and real estate. Currently serving as Assistant Counsel at PSEG Long Island, Janet brings a wealth of legal expertise to her role, paired with a deep commitment to giving back to her community. Janet has a longstanding dedication to charitable work, demonstrated by her involvement as a board member of the Abilities Board of the Viscardi Center and her contributions to the Bethany House Development and Communications Committee. Through these roles, she has honed her skills in legal advising and fundraising, always aiming to create a positive impact.

Jim Lowe

Jim has been in the financial services industry for 35 years and is currently the Senior Vice President of the Private Client Division at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc., where he has worked for 25 years. Jim holds a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Finance from the State University of New York, Empire State College. He has served as a volunteer with SEO Scholars and on the boards of several other charitable organizations. Jim is an avid golfer, and looks forward to continuing to be a part of both the Bethany House golf and finance committees.

Kerry Gillick Goldberg

Kerry has more than 25 years of experience in business development pertaining to apparel and non-profits, as well as public relations and cause-related marketing. Gillick-Goldberg is the principal of kggenterprises, where she transformed the merchandising and sales of the One is Greater Than None (1>0) charity from handmade bracelets to a fully licensed line of junior activewear, which was available at Bloomingdale’s, nationwide at independent stores and online; founded by teenage girls from Merrick, the charity raised money and social awareness to help children in need and resulted in the rescue and rehabilitation of 48 children enslaved in Ghana, Africa.

Lennae Alicia Adams

Lennae is currently the Director of Financial Reporting for Catholic Health (CH) where she manages, leads, and mentors a team of over 20 accounting professionals. She has been working with CH since 2007, and has held various financial positions within the organization. This year she celebrated her 15 year anniversary with CH. Lennae has a BS in Accounting from SUNY Old Westbury College School of Business, and has been volunteering her time at Bethany House for over a year, as well as lending her financial knowledge regarding not-for-profit corporations.

Lisa King

Lisa is a media and communications professional who currently serves as the Vice President of MediaImpact. She is the Co-Chair of Bethany House’s Development and Communications Committee, and a longtime supporter of Bethany. Lisa is a vigorous advocate for the women and children served by Bethany House. She has established significant community ties for Bethany House with business leaders, elected officials and media outlets across Long Island. Lisa has extensive experience in the arts, and has taught in New York City schools.
