On Sunday, February 2, Frank Milillo and the Long

On Sunday, February 2, Frank Milillo and the Long Island Pickleball Pros held the 5th annual pickleball tournament at the newly opened, Pickleball Expo in Oceanside.

Frank, a long time supporter of Bethany House and co-host of this event, was on hand with his mentor and Pickleball expert, David Velasquez, to teach the over 55 people who attended the basics of the game. He ran the round-robin games on three courts with Dave and a few other helping hands.

The attendees learned important information about the game, as well as a session on mobility, stability, flexibility and sport risks. There were raffle baskets on hand, and the winner and runner-up of the round robin won bottles of wine.

The event helped Bethany House raise over $3,000!

These funds are absolutely essential to our mission of helping people and without the generosity of our donors, we simply couldn't provide the vital services and resources that make a real difference in people's lives. With our supportive and therapeutic programs, we are able to give our families tools to return to a sustainable lifestyle.

South Side High School National Honor Society rece

South Side High School National Honor Society recently raised money for Bethany House with their “Walsh on the Wall” Fundraiser. Students raised money by securing their principal, @pat_walshedu, to the wall in the school lobby during the day. Thank you to Dr. Walsh and the students of their National Honor Society chapter for your support- what a fun way to do it!
