We may use this information to communicate with you by e-mail or post from time to time. Bethany House keeps contact and all other personal information supplied by participants of the Bethany House web site strictly confidential.
Please keep in mind, however, that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online, e.g. on message boards, through e-mail, or in chat areas, that information may be collected and used by others.

We may use your e-mail address or other personal information you provide to contact you for administrative purposes such as customer service, and/or to send you promotional materials. Generally, you can opt-out of receiving promotional communications by following links provided in the messages or by contacting us directly at the email address or phone number below.
We retain personal information as long as it is reasonably necessary and relevant for our operations, and/or to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigation, or enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements.
Do we share your information?
Except as discussed below, Bethany House does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies. Bethany House may use the name of the organization or individual from the donor list in its publications or web site. Any individual has the right to “opt-out” or decline the use of its name entirely from any Bethany House publications. If the individual does not opt out, permission is deemed granted.
We may share your personal information if required to do so by law to protect Bethany House from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses or activity; to protect the security or integrity of our website; to investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations; to assist government enforcement agencies; or to comply with state and federal laws, in response to a court order, judicial or other government subpoena or warrant.
We make certain information available to third parties to comply with various reporting obligations, and for business purposes. When possible, we provide this information in a de-identified way.
We work with third party service providers to provide website development, hosting, data storage, maintenance, and other services for us. To the extent it is necessary for these third-party service providers to complete their contractual obligations to us, these third parties may have access to or process your personal information.

For that reason, our website is not intended for use by children under age 13 and we do not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under age 13. If you are under age 13, please do not use or access the site at any time or in any manner. If we learn that personal information has been collected through the site from persons under age 13 and without verifiable parental consent, we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under age 13 has obtained a Bethany House account or provided us with personal information, please alert us at the email address below to request that we delete the information from our systems.
What security do we provide to protect your personal information?
Bethany House uses multiple electronic and administrative safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, such as firewall technologies and SSL security. Access to your account information is protected via system passwords which are changed periodically. Despite use of these safeguards, we cannot guarantee and do not represent that your information will always be secure from unauthorized access.

Do Not Track Disclosures
Third parties such as advertising networks, analytics providers, and widget providers may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you access or use our services. Currently, various browsers offer a Do Not Track (“DNT”) option, but there is no standard for how DNT should work on commercial websites. Due to lack of such standards, the site does not respond to DNT consumer browser settings.

You may email us at info@bhny.org or call us at (516) 868-6866 to review your personal information.
